Listings that publish themselves, and agents handling three times the work

Commercial Realty's listing system publishes every property to their website, TradeMe and realestate.co.nz from one entry, with approvals and views tracked in the same place. More than 10,000 listings have gone through it, and each agent handles around three times the work.

What they needed

Commercial Realty sells and leases industrial and commercial property across Auckland. Every listing had to be entered on their website, on TradeMe and on realestate.co.nz separately, then kept in sync as prices and photos changed. That was hours per listing, and it capped how many an agent could carry.

What we built

A listing system and a new marketing website. An agent enters a property once, with its pricing by area type and its images. The listing goes through an internal approval step and then publishes to the website, TradeMe and realestate.co.nz together, and updates flow the same way. The dashboard shows each agent their listings, drafts and pending approvals, and views across the website and TradeMe over the last 30 days, so management sees what is working as it happens.

What changed

More than 10,000 listings have gone through the system, and the website has had more than 100,000 visitors. Agents carry more listings each, around three times what they could before, because the syncing work is gone.

Where it goes next

Ongoing since 2016. We keep improving the listing system and the digital side of the business as the market changes.
